The Law Firm Network grants The 2023 LFN Award to the New York City Urban Debate League

The award was delivered during The Law Firm Network’s Annual Conference which took place in the city of New York in the month of April.

NYC Urban Debate League provides academic debate opportunities to students in underserved NYC communities, with a focus on students of color. They provide debate instruction and host monthly debate tournaments for NYC schools who do not have the resources to provide debate courses. NYC UDL is a longtime Brown Rudnick Charitable Foundation grantee.

The New York City Urban Debate League (NYCUDL) is the largest debate league in the US. Over the past ten years, the League has helped expand the number of NYC Title 1 schools with debate training for students from less than 10 to over 100 schools across the city of NY.

Brown Rudnick Partner and Member of NYCUDL’s advisory board Katy Gardner, attended the dinner to present the Award jointly with LFN Charman Peter Krarup.  expressed their gratitude with the network. Amisha Mody Mehta, NYCUDL´s Executive Director collected the Award.
