We are glad to announce that Irene Afxentiou, Associate Lawyer at Cypriot member firm LLPO, is the winner of the LFN Young Lawyers Essay Award 2023 for her paper ‘Human Trafficking and its unwavering Existence’.

The jury, formed by, Valérie Nicod Nicod (Partner at French member firm Ydès), Liselot Bosman (Partner at Dutch member firm Wieringa Advocaten) and Luis Eduardo Nieto (Managing Partner at Colombian member firm Nieto Legal) has unanimously voted Irene Afxentiou as the winner of this Award.

The prize will be awarded to Irene by members of the Jury, at the LFN Annual Conference taking place in New York city in the month of April.

The paper, anonymously submitted to the jury, has been selected based on the following criteria: Quality of research and analysis; Novelty, profundity and over-all contribution to legal knowledge; and Grammar, spelling and structuring.
