Hosted in Budapest’s Marriott Hotel, the three days Annual Conference gathered over fifty leading lawyers from across the globe who discussed cross border hot topics in the legal sector such as the global economic situation as a consequence of inflation, IMF actions and the Ukraine-Russia war, current arbitration law issues, the relationships between law firms and clients, with the presence of three General Counsels of multinational companies, and the importance of mental, social and financial well-being in the workplace, among other topics.

The event had the presence of renown panelists and speakers including Corporate Wellbeing expert Előd Solti, Head of People Experience at Nokia Andrea Illes, Head of Research Unit “Economics Globalization” at the Institute of World Economics András Deák, General Counsel at NNG Kft. Éva Kerecsen, Head of IP Department at Gedeon Richter Pharma Imre Gonda, Director of Legal and Compliance at E.ON Hungary Peter Ban and Hungarian Lawyer and Everest mountain climber Emil Neszmély.

At the conference’s closing ceremony, The Law Firm Network granted its annual LFN Award to the Hungarian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, a non profit organization supporting the general public in Hungary, but in particular minorities who experience discrimination, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021. The Committee’s work spans across a wide range of activities including research on law enforcement activities, education programs, advocacy and free legal assistance and representation of victims of discrimination who don’t have or cannot afford an attorney.

Co-Chair of the organization, Dr. Márta Pardavi, collected the award.

Besides putting together the event’s professional program, host law firm, Szecskay Attorneys at Law, presented attendees with an extensive cultural program that included a visit to the Budapest Opera, a young talents music concert at the House of Music and a visit to Zwack Unicum Museum.
